That is, I've had way more positive reactions to untappd on twitter than negative ones. I like to see people I know get to try a beer they've been after for ages, I like to see people try something I loved to see if they feel the same way (or if they hate it), and I like to see WHERE people are drinking WHAT. That stuff is of interest to me so I am cool with seeing it in my twitter feed.

It would be annoying if people duplicated by logging it on untappd (and publishing it on twitter) AND THEN also writing another distinct tweet about it. Do one or the other.

But I am a big fan of scrolling. People post stuff that fails to fascinate me ALL THE TIME. Does that mean I hate that person or that they are too boring for me to be connected to them online? Nope, it just means I will scroll on by if I'm not into their post at that time.

I've been around online in forums and whatnot since before anyone ever thought of Facebook, let alone twitter or untappd and I've learned to SCROLL ON! SCROLL ON! (I kind of want to make this a You'll Never Walk Alone thing, but I'm torn between keyboard and smartphones, oh well).

So I'll keep publishing my untappd posts on twitter and I'll keep reading other people's and if I'm boring anyone then they know what they can do. SCROLL ON! Or delete me if they prefer because life is short and I'm not fussed. Guess if I drank as much beer as you then people might be drowning in my untappd log ins and I might need to rethink my position... :PEmmahttp://cremasbeerodyssey.blogspot.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-47198925648451445462013-08-20T09:54:23.052+01:002013-08-20T09:54:23.052+01:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07486430981958687623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-47214913968995046642013-08-18T12:12:03.575+01:002013-08-18T12:12:03.575+01:00I like the social aspect, I often refer to rate be...I like the social aspect, I often refer to rate beer for information when I'm writing but I find a lot of the opinion on there very bigoted and uniformed! Untappd isn't that much better in that respect though... that's just what beer can bring out in people...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362693914759656245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-60671583712454730002013-08-18T12:11:01.359+01:002013-08-18T12:11:01.359+01:00I don't mind at all Phil, that's a very in...I don't mind at all Phil, that's a very interesting post and thanks for sharing! I wouldn't remember half the beers I'd drank without that app and it's often a nice suprise to get a beer and realise you've had it before and you can see where and when!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362693914759656245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-88482219221532730352013-08-18T12:09:58.407+01:002013-08-18T12:09:58.407+01:00I'm looking forward to seeing you blogging aga...I'm looking forward to seeing you blogging again :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12362693914759656245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-333794201135026232013-08-18T11:45:23.227+01:002013-08-18T11:45:23.227+01:00I got a bit bored with using untappd and not keen ...I got a bit bored with using untappd and not keen on beers being duplicated or no beer descriptions given. I find ratebeer much better for that, but untappd excels with the social aspect of finding out what friends are up to.beersiveknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13293913182389157112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7475885845704210397.post-37819732291468541352013-08-18T10:10:00.761+01:002013-08-18T10:10:00.761+01:00I wrote a similar post some time ago on untappd an...I wrote a similar post some time ago on untappd and its tendency to irritate folk with constant posts, but despite my own promises I still find myself twittorising folks most days. The link is here http://beersay.wordpress.com/2013/04/ (hope you don't mind that) I agree though it is a really valuable tool for blogging as my memory is awful, and I can't tell you how many times I've had to check to see if I've tried a beer before, especially in places like Brewdog where beer names have a tendency to blend into one. Although I do work on the theory that if I have to look, it can't have been that memorable in the first place...
